The Breadalbane Folklore Centre in Killin housed in a beautifully restored working watermill situated at the northern end of the Dochart Bridge overlooking the Falls of Dochart and the island of Inchbuie.

On the ground floor is the Tourist office with its wide choice of brochures and publications including various clan histories. The office staff are there to help visitors with information about the district and with booking accommodation, etc. (Keys to the gate on to Inchbuie, the Macnab burial island, can be obtained here).

On the first floor is a display and information covering the ancient history of that part of the Highlands known as Breadalbane. Included are the deeds of St Fillan, an early Celtic Christian evangelist who established his Priory in Strathfillan in the 1st century. His sacred healing stoals are on display. You can discover the mysterious beasts and spirits of Celtic mythology and learn about the rich natural history of one of Scotland's most beautiful areas, in which lie the lands of "Clann an Aba", the Macnabs
